Why iPhones Are the In-Thing

By: iPod Maven

Regardless of whether you're a businessperson, homemaker or a person who wants to enjoy the best that smart phones offer, you can check out the different benefits of Apple's new gadget the iPhone. This phone is designed to offer you all that a regular cell phone can and a whole lot more. The iPhone has been advertised as one of the most comprehensive smart phones currently in existence.

The expected sales for the iPhone for this year are expected to clear 10 million units and make it one of the most wanted phones to have ever graced the cellular phone market.

What exactly is driving the interest up for this mobile phone product? The iPhone according to a lot of new users has more features and is relatively easy to use. It combines mobile phone service, wireless computer service and iPod characteristics in a single device which is easier to carry than other individual devices.

What users get with the iPhone is a complete cellular service along with powerful AT & T service, call waiting, caller ID; voicemail (which allows users to view a complete list and listen to only those messages they want to hear at the moment and either delete or save the rest); camera capabilities and more. Plus, they can access the web for browsing; email extraction; Internet connection; searching; and even maps and directions when on the road.

The iPhone also has a vertical as well as a horizontal flip up screen which does not require any kind of keyboard or stylus as your fingers are the ones which do all the work. The iPhone has the advantage of functioning like a mini computer and it allows you to do the work, talk with clients and forward files to a number of other people. All this can be done simply by touching a screen regardless of where you are.

Also, in addition to the fact that this is a high tech mobile phone with computer capabilities, the new iPhone also comes with a built-in iPod capable of storing more than 8,000 songs for people who have an insatiable appetite for music. What the iPhone is unable to do at the moment is play iPod games, however industry experts expect upgrades in the coming months and these upgrades will include a lot of new features and will probably allow access to games too.

The iPhone at the moment comes with two memory size models which are the 4GB and the 8GB. The Network agreement Apple has with AT&T/Cingular means that a two-year service contract is required to use the phone and no plans exist to add other networks to the mix for most people. The price of the iPhone won't make it an everyday choice for most but it’s rather excellent for those who want multi-media packed in a single device, or those who travel often and need the ease and convenience offered by the iPhone. The Apple iPhone is currently available through AT & T cellular phone sites and the Apple online site as well.
