Peaking the interest of fans to sell concert tickets and cds is not new, only difference now is that they can do it quickly and efficiently through podcasting. Unfortunately, established artists are looking to cash in on podcasting and are looking to charge for their album feeds. Users would have a subscription that they would pay for and be unique to them. It would be updated regularly with the band’s music and information. But, the episodes could not be exchanged like free feeds can be. Only the person with the subscription could view and hear the files, they would have encoding within them so that they could not be copied or shared. Ruining part of the podcasting experience of distributing and sharing episodes and information.
